This was my first time visiting San Sebastián, and I knew there was so much history to explore and even more incredible food to experience. I just wasn't sure what the best way was to fit it all into such a short amount of time. After talking with José Manuel about the best way to experience the city, he suggested visiting an authentic Basque cider house for lunch, followed by a walking tour of San Sebastián, and then spending the next day exploring different pintxos bars throughout the Old Town. Every experience José Manuel recommended was incredible. He exceeded all of my expectations and made my time in San Sebastián one that I'll be talking about for years to come. I highly recommend José Manuel as your guide if you're visiting San Sebastián. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the city's history, culture, and, of course, the best places to eat!

My husband and I booked three private tours with Jose Manuel during a recent trip to Spain — a walking tour of San Sebastián, a cider house experience, and a custom tour of fishing villages between San Sebastián and Bilbao. He is a knowledgeable and friendly guide. He customized the tours based on our interests/preferences and answered all of our questions. By sharing history, context, suggestions, and some of his own personal anecdotes, Jose Manuel helped us better understand the beautiful Basque Country and its people. Jose Manuel was a very personable and informative guide for our two hour tour around the core parts of the city. He was great at weaving a story through the history of Spain, the Basque region and San Sebastián throwing in translations of the Basque language along the way. He was flexible and adapted to the hot sun, ensuring we were in the shade while keeping to the stories of the tour. He was open to questions and provided many useful recommendations. Excellent tour. José Manuel was an excellent guide. We tried different pinxos and drinks we had not tried before and he was friendly and knowledgeable. He took us away from the usual bars so they weren’t long queues and it was delicious and fun!

Our tour was great! We had a small friendly group with a chilled, informative walk around the city. The tour guide was in no rush and was happy to answer all our questions with passion and knowledge. We are a family of 4 (2 kids 11yrs and 14yrs) and we all really enjoyed the information and the ease of the morning walk. The guide was relaxed and informative and knew his stuff, thank you, I would definitely recommend Jose Manuel
